Chiropractor Dr. Clark Johnson, D.C.
A lot of people who were helped by chiropractors become chiropractors. The funny thing is, I can’t say I’m one of them.
Believe it or not, I actually got my first adjustment after I was in chiropractic school.
For a big part of my life, I did not even know what chiropractic care was, and frankly, it may have really helped me.
Throughout my time in college, I mainly focused on baseball.
I actually ended up pitching for Chico State and afterward in independent professional leagues because I had a unique way of pitching where I bent sideways as I pitched to get more difficult angles on my pitches.
I normally threw sliders from different angles about 2-8 or cutters from 3-9.
It would have been nice to know at that time, that every starting pitcher is 1% more likely to hit the disabled list every year they pitch.
So, really, every pitch is bad for you. And my pitch was especially bad, every pitch was like a car accident’s whiplash on my arm.
Unfortunately, the whiplash that my arm was experiencing from the pitches stressed my elbow to the point of developing bone spurs requiring surgery.
It eventually caused me to change careers.
Sometimes I wonder if receiving Chiropractic Care, to help keep my forearm’s bones in alignment might have reduced the trauma and injuries.
Live and learn.
I am really passionate about helping others stay in the game, by preventing injuries. Chiropractic care lets me help people keep doing what they love.
I could not think of a more rewarding thing to do, and I am very grateful to be able to be a part of people becoming healthier.
After graduating from Western States Chiropractic program, I practiced as a chiropractor for 6 years before joining the Barham team.
I would have never expected what happened next.
Dr. Barham became a positive influence in a lot of areas of my life.
Over time I started going to church with Dr. Barham and spending more time with his family.
I found myself sitting next to Lyndsay Barham at church and at outings…
One thing lead to another and well…
This happened.
I joined the Barham team to continue my career and found myself becoming part of a family.
I hope you enjoyed this little rundown of how I got to where I am as a Chiropractor.
Getting to know patients, and being a part of their health journey is the most rewarding experience.
Every patient’s needs are a little different and making precise adjustments based on the patient makes a big difference.
I love every second of it.
I can’t wait to meet you and take a look and see how we can help you.
